The 2006 paintings by Marjorie Weiss appeared in New York at
the Marmara-Manhattan Gallery as a one-person show. The new work
continues to explore the juxtaposition of the shadowy silhouettes
to the
vibrant and bold hues of blue and green used in the landscape, yet
the new work has taken on a different dimension. There is more play
between smaller and oversized figures and the paintings have become
larger, using two, three and four panels to accomplish a bolder,
more
dramatic expression.
